Kyle Hartung, Director of Investment Sales at Goodman Investment Group, represented Rural King as the seller in the recent sale of Parkway Plaza valued at $6,475,000. Parkway Plaza is located in Cambridge, Ohio, and is a 77,000 SF regional shopping center anchored by Marshalls, Bealls, and Dollar Tree, and shadow-anchored by Rural King. Goodman Investment Group previously represented Rural King in the sale of the Burger King, Verizon, and Taco Bell outlots directly in front of the property. After representing Rural King to initially acquire the shopping center back in 2018, Goodman’s leasing team of Randy Goodman and Alex Justice quickly went to work to add national tenants adjacent to what was to become a new 70,000 SF Rural King store (opened 2021). Within months of the Rural King store opening, Goodman had secured Marshalls (open 2022) and Bealls (open 2023) to fill the remaining vacant portion of the former Kmart store, in addition to expanding Dollar Tree and adding Anytime Fitness and Shogun Sushi Hibachi Thai to the inline retail strip adjacent, thereby increasing the value of the property dramatically and allowing it to be marketed and sold at the current pricing.
