THE GILBERT GROUP COMPLETES MULTIPLE RETAIL TRANSACTIONS

Columbus, Ohio February 11, 2016– The Gilbert Group Inc., Real Estate is pleased to announce the completion of multiple lease transactions throughout the region. Starbucks executed a lease at 4784 Morse Road (former Peet’s Coffee space) located at The Market at Morse and Hamilton in Columbus, Ohio. This single standing building is 1,800 square feet with a drive-thru. Other neighboring retailers include Giant Eagle, Kroger, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Cinemark and a soon to be completed Fresh Thyme. Michael Nolan, Principal with The Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in this transaction.

AT&T recently executed a lease at the Urbana Commons, located at 227 Lippincott Lane in Urbana, Ohio. They occupy 1,200 square feet in a Walmart shadow anchored center, joining Rent-A-Center, Great Clips and Advance America. Michael Nolan, Principal, and Emily Hollander, Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in this transaction.

Planet Fitness executed a lease for 20,582 square feet in Consumer Square West Shopping Center located at 3614 Soldano Boulevard in Columbus, Ohio. This property is in close proximity to the $400 million Hollywood Casino. Other co-tenants include Kroger, Bath & Body Works, Show Shoe, Jack’s Pets, Rainbow and Dollar Tree. In conjunction with Zamias Services, Inc., Emily Hollander, Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in the transaction.

Sbarro signed a lease at 1990 North High Street in Columbus, Ohio. The store is now open and operating. The tenant is occupying 870 square feet and will service The Ohio State University campus. Doug Leeds, Vice President with The Gilbert Group, represented the tenant in the transaction. Braces Bar recently executed a lease to occupy 2,066 square feet in the new Northstar Realty development located on Sawmill Road and Emerald Parkway in Dublin, Ohio. The 12,000 square foot retail building is being built on an out parcel nearby both Kroger and Walmart anchored centers. Other co-tenants include Pizza Cucinova, Pet Valu, and Lady Jane’s. Pet Valu executed a lease in Eastside Square at 130 Tuttle Road in Springfield, Ohio. They are occupying a 4,500 square foot space in a Walmart shadow anchored center. Other co-tenants include: The Shoe Dept., Game Stop, Great Clips, and Sprint. Michael Nolan, Principal with the Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in this transaction.

Smoothie King will be occupying 1,721 square feet in Avery Square located at 6355 Perimeter Drive in Dublin, Ohio. Avery Square, owned by Casto, is anchored by Kroger and has other prominent retailers including: Tuesday Morning, Buffalo Wild Wings, Kenneth’s Hair Design, Larosa’s Pizza and Piada. Rooms For Less executed a 13,420 square foot lease at the former FrontRoom Furnishings space at 2150 Hamilton Road in Columbus, Ohio. They will occupy this freestanding building, which sits nearby major retailers such as Macy’s and Sears. Morey Rotfus, Senior Associate, represented the tenant in the transaction.

YoFresh Yogurt Cafe recently leased 1,500 square feet of space located in the Anchor Associates new retail development Guernsey Crossing. The space is located at 1251 North Bridge Street in Chillicothe, Ohio. Other tenants in this development include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ulta Beauty, Petco, and Five Below.
