GILBERT GROUP ANNOUNCES MORE MAJOR LEASING ACHIEVEMENTS

COLUMBUS, OHIO, March 18, 2016 – The Gilbert Group is pleased to announce the completion of multiple lease transactions throughout their region. They have completed a total of 114 retail lease transactions in 2015.

Orange Theory Fitness will soon open a new facility in the recently renovated Bexley Square, located at 2212 East Main Street in Bexley, Ohio. They will occupy 2,679 square feet in the center, which sits next to Giant Eagle Marketplace, currently under construction. The Giant Eagle Marketplace is expected to open in the 4th quarter of 2016.

In addition to Orange Theory Fitness, Bexley Urgent Care has also signed a lease to occupy 4,132 square feet in the aforementioned center. Other users include Cosi and Bexley Pilates. Both deals were conducted by Michael Nolan, a Principal, and Carlton Dargusch, a Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, as they represented the landlord in this transaction.

Bracesbar recently executed a lease to occupy 2,398 square feet in the new Shops at Rocky Fork project located in Gahanna, Ohio. This 27,000 square foot retail development by Wagenbrenner Development / Gallas and Zadeh Development is situated just off the I-270 interchange on Hamilton Road.

Another tenant scheduled to reside at the above mentioned Shops at Rocky Fork, is MOD Pizza. They will open a 2,400 square foot space joining Jimmy John’s, Dunkin Donuts, Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Arby’s, Genji Go, T-Mobile, European Wax and Sport Clips. Michael Nolan, a Principal, and Carlton Dargusch, a Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in this transaction.

Smoothie King has signed on to be the newest retailer to open in Northwest Plaza, located at 1246

West Fifth Avenue in Grandview, Ohio.  They will occupy a 1,200 square foot space, joining BibiBop

Asian Grill, Mark Pi’s, H&R Block, T-Mobile Saturday’s and LA Tan. Michael Nolan, a Principal and Emily

Hollander, a Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented Smoothie King in the transaction.

Penn Station recently signed a deal to lease 2,400 square feet at Legacy Village in Marion, Ohio. The retail building sits in an out parcel in front the following anchors: Kohl’s, Hobby Lobby, Petco and MC Sports. Co-tenants include Anytime Fitness, Rosa and Rocco’s Italian Kitchen and Buckeye Optical. Emily Hollander, a Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented the Landlord in this transaction while Aaron Gilbert, the Managing Principal of The Gilbert Group, represented Penn Station.

Lumber Liquidators has agreed to lease a 7,000 square foot space at 4242 West Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio.  This single standing building is located in close proximity to Sears, Giant Eagle, Jo- Ann Fabrics and Big Lots.  Morey Rotfus, a Senior Associate with The Gilbert Group, represented the landlord in the transaction.
